Look at the new UWELL Caliburn KOKO Pods (4-Pack), a lot of trade units built for the Caliburn KOKO Pod System, keeping up many indistinguishable highlights from the perfect Caliburn Replacement Pods, changing the inside 1.4ohm loop for a superior yielding 1.2ohm kanthal coil.

The Koko comes with new 1.2ohm pods, two of which are in the box. These are red at the base to differentiate them from the original Caliburn pods, which are black at the base. If you still have Caliburn pods, you’ll be happy to know that they’ll work in the Koko. The Koko pods will also work in the Caliburn. The top cap on the Pod pulls off, giving access to the fill port. It’s a pain to remove sometimes, but it’s secure.

Once the top cap is off, you’ll see three holes, but the middle hole isn’t for filling. Only fill through the holes on either the left or right side. I’d suggest a pointy-tip bottle for filling; droppers can be difficult to use without making a mess. The Pod attaches magnetically to the Koko, but you still have to click it into place. Once the Pod is seated, there’s no wiggling, and it’s very secure. There’s a convenient ejuice viewing window on the side of the Pod so you can see your ejuice level without having to remove the Pod.

UWELL Caliburn KOKO Pods Performance

Because of the slightly lower resistance, the Koko’s 1.2ohm coils give a warmer vape than the 1.4ohm coils for the Caliburn. I prefer a warmer vape, so this temperature is right up my alley. The pods don’t take long to break in at all. After the first few puffs, I can already taste the flavor. 35mg nicotine salt, the draw is perfect. I get smooth vapor, and the throat hit is on-point too. The experience is so similar to Caliburn that it’s hard to differentiate the two. The biggest difference is the warmth of the vapor, but otherwise, everything else is the same. The flavor is just as good, and the draw is just as smooth. One major pro to the Koko is that I’ve had no performance issues. The draw-activated firing works flawlessly and consistently. The pods haven’t leaked either, and my battery connection has remained dry as a bone.

UWELL Caliburn KOKO Pods Overview

Both pods are 1.2Ω; no indication has been made as to what the wire of the coils is. But as I have had no adverse reaction from them – I’m allergic to Ni80 coils – I will guess they are made of either Kanthal or Stainless Steel. Uwell says the coils will fire up to 11w. The coils are sealed into each Pod; when the coils reach the end of their natural lives, you will have to buy another complete pod for the kit. The Pod is made of clear plastic with red plastic bases. The black plastic mouthpiece is removable, and removing it, reveals the 2 small fill ports on either side of the chamber. The pods have a minimum liquid indicator mark on each side and the usual CE and Recyclable marks.

BTW, the mouthpiece feels quite comfortable on my lips. The bottom of the Pod has 2 magnets, 2 gold-plated contact points, and a single airflow valve between them. The pods seem to be quite sturdy and will forgive some rough handling. The manufacture and design quality of the pods are good! Fairly strong magnets hold the Pod into the body, although when putting it into the device, you have to ensure it clicks into place to make contact. Once in place, the Pod has a small window for liquid level, as seen on the side over the airflow hole. This window does not match the minimum liquid indicator mark on the Pod! It goes below the minimum level, so I recommend taking the Pod out every so often to check the liquid level.
